KingFish Media hired me to develop the redesign for Ascot Group, a worldwide insurance / reinsurance company. Ascot operates in the USA, Bermuda, and the UK and operates a specialty underwriter called Ethos, and so its multiple identities needed to be reflected in the structure of the build.

WordPress Multisite gives Ascot’s regional operations and Ethos separate sites within a shared installation. Gutenberg supplies reusable page components for complex layouts, while Mailchimp connects email marketing to a publishing structure that can accommodate additional brand sites.

Financial services encompass the institutions and activities that manage money, provide credit, facilitate investment, and protect against financial risk. I’ve worked with community banks, investment managers, venture capital firms, and international insurance businesses.

I developed KingFish Media’s redesign around the structure of Ascot’s international business. The multisite implementation and custom editing interface support distinct regional and brand presentations, combining the group’s shared foundation with page-building tools its marketing team can use without working directly in code.
Gutenberg + Multisite
WordPress multisite for a global web presence.
I built the Ascot website on WordPress Multisite so that the Ascot team could deploy subsites for the brand on the fly. With the help of Gutenberg’s block-based editor, the marketing team can also construct complex layouts with zero technical expertise.
Daniel’s knowledge of production techniques and sophisticated design sense made me feel totally confident. The site is edgy yet professional—I highly recommend Daniel for his ability to produce great results.
